The
gospel message is that of repentance. Which is hardly preached in
"church" anymore. A sinners prayer won't save you. You
MUST repent of your sins and deeds from your heart.
The
Church is a gathering of believers. You need to be a believer and
be "born again" before you attend church with believers.
If you came to this web site, and you are not a "born again"
Christian, continue to read his.
If
you are not sure you are a "saved" person, you need to
know what God has said to us, ever since the time He created us.
He had it all recorded. We call it the Word of God, or, most commonly,
the Bible. You can find all He has to say to us in this amazing
Book of His. In the Bible you will find that we are not going to
go to heaven unless you know and trust God. You need to understand
what His Son Jesus did for us by living on this earth for 33 years,
dying a terrible, painful, agonizing death, and then was resurrected
so that we can be 'born again'.
We
can not be "saved" by the type of 'church' we attend,
what kind of a church our parent's attend, or even by attending
or belonging to any 'church'. You are not saved by having a 'relationship"
with God. You are not saved by baptism.
You
are saved by grace through faith in Him. If you want to be "Born
Again", in Jesus, you need to have faith in Him. You need to
have Faith in His Son, whom we call Jesus. Not faith in yourself
or the things you do, or don't do (because how many good works will
you have to do? how many sins will you have to avoid?). This faith
comes from God, as a gift to you. He gives it to those He desires
to give it to. Ask Him for it (pray). Read His Word, the Bible (I
would recommend the Book of Romans, to read about this faith you
want from Him). If you do not have a Bible, then pray to God, and
ask Him for this Faith.
If
you want to grow in God, after being saved, you need to read the
Bible. It will become the 'Bread of Life" to you. If you cannot
afford to buy a Bible, e-mail The Christian Home Church Network
at bible@christianhomechurchnetwork.com , and we will send you a
Bible.
Jesus
on prayer.
Mat
6:5 "When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites;
for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street
corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they
have their reward in full.
Mat 6:6 "But you, when you pray, go into your
inner room, close your door and pray to your Father who is in secret,
and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
Mat 6:7 "And when you are praying, do not
use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose
that they will be heard for their many words.
Mat 6:8 "So do not be like them; for your
Father knows what you need before you ask Him.
Mat 6:9 "Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father
who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
Mat 6:10 'Your kingdom come. Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Mat 6:11 'Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 'And forgive us our debts, as we also
have forgiven our debtors.
Mat 6:13 'And do not lead us into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and
the glory forever. Amen.]'
Mat 6:14 "For if you forgive others for their
transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Mat 6:15 "But if you do not forgive others,
then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
